Easy Movement Routine For Beginners
If you are looking to start an easy movement routine, without spending too much time on it, here are two sets of Qi Gong exercises that you will like. The most important thing is to start. Sometimes we wait for a good time to start a new self-care activity, but often that good time never comes. Also, do not get fixated on an all-or-none approach. If you can do it once a week, that is also fine. And if you can do it more than once a week, that is useful too. You can also choose to do these on two days of the week, while on the other days you can follow some other activity like Yoga, Pranayama, Tai Chi, etc.
The first video is a morning routine, while the second one is an evening one. Be sure to do these before eating, or at least 4 hours after the last meal.
You will also find it useful to follow the routine with a short meditation, by sitting down on the floor or on a chair calmly, with eyes closed, and reflecting on positive affirmations, gratitude meditation, or mindful breathing.
The evening routine also can be followed with gratitude meditation, body scan mindfulness exercise, or mindful breathing.
Once you have gotten used to these easy movements, you can proceed to learn more Qi Gong routines that can enhance your physical and mental well-being. It is important to do it everyday, even if for a few minutes, instead of doing a lot one day and then not doing the exercises for a few days. Always aim for quality and consistency more than the quantity.
